About Rudd's R.U.B.B.
Raising Up Black Businesses Initiative, a precedent-setting initiative designed to financially empower black-owned businesses invites you to join other Black business owners in a fun and powerful networking event in celebration of Black business month.
Ezell’s Famous Chicken Co-Founders Lewis and Darnell Rudd, along with their sister Faye Stephens, in partnership with DoorDash, launched Rudd’s R.U.B.B. (Raising Up Black Businesses) Initiative in 2021 to provide financial, management, and coaching support to grow wealth-creating Black-owned businesses. In 2021, the initiative made no-strings-attached grants to 20 Black-owned businesses.
This event is designed for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs to meet with some of Washington state's most successful Black business owners. Through one-on-one discussions and networking, this event will help to uplift the next generation of Black businesses that will build wealth and transform our community.

Come and learn from business owners who have overcome barriers and add to your community of supporters.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
R.U.B.B
Recipient
"We were blown away by the response with more than 540 applications for the grant. We are so impressed with the diversity in the types of businesses within our community, as widespread and committed ways business owners and their employees are 'giving back', or paying it forward with their time, money, hands, energy, heart, and in-kind services and products. The inaugural Black Business Leadership Conference allows us to reach more businesses connecting them with education, tangible resources and networks that are sustainable." -- Lewis Rudd
